All Earth Moves the Same Way (2016)
Wood, rocks, ink on paper, pins, tape; 18" x 16" x 51"
My late father's timeline is mapped out on a cross-section of a locust tree. His birth and deceased years are matched with the first time the Big Bang Theory was propounded and the Voyager probe entering interstellar space; as closely related to the year the Mariana Trench was discovered and first solo dive to the Challenger Deep. Displaying from top to bottom, there are images of the last photo taken of our Solar System by the Voyager, the last image I took of my father, and an image of the bottom of the ocean.
