This site-specific installation accumulates found natural and domestic materials from the local environment in Hokkaido, examining them through observational drawings while constructing a 'nesting' habitat. The housing traditional room, overlooking a Japanese garden, resembles a solarium; where decaying materials seek refuge and are being tended on in hope of revitalization. The environment grows, dissects, and fluctuates over the course of my stay there, and behaves like an organic organism or ecosystem itself.
At the end, a Capsule, filled with observational drawings and key components from the installation, was left as an offering for the generous people who allowed this project to take place and live out its life.
