“Archipelago: Mayfly” was formed in a cabin on Rabbit Island, floating atop Lake Superior, where I lived in isolation for a month. The work behaves in a state of constant conversation and negotiation between myself, who is occupying an undisturbed site, and the natural environment reclaiming over my presence.
