2019 / Silkscreen and ink drawing on tyvek, sunflower leaves, incense, dirt, rope / 16.5 L x 16.5 W x 11.5 H ft (5 x 5 x 3.5 m)
Installation view from Wave Hill Sunroom Project Space, NY
A tyvek C-Fly-Wedge shape survival shelter is suspended in space and acts as a levitated shrine. The interior silkscreen print and ink drawing is composed of texts from literature that expresses the passing moments of a person, along with night-capture images of coyotes on site of the installation. The exterior is of the ceiling wallpaper pattern from the house I grew up in Vietnam.
